The winter weather sure makes stamped concrete pours
difficult in Vancouver BC.
While most of the country basking in sunshine ,
and solid -40 Celsius with 3-4 feet snow on the ground.
At the same time...
Us Vancouverites getting a wide variety, and amount of
rain.
If you know anything about stamped concrete, it must be
the fact that...
...it doesn't look good finished in pouring rain!
But never the less, we do our job sometimes in the
rain,
it just happens, so we learned to deal with it.
Bigger suspended slabs can be machined, than sweep
troweled,
as long as some one picks up the bill for grinding
the spotted, and rough surface.
Stamped concrete sidewalks, patios, driveways poured
in the rain?
Don't even think about it, unless you do not care
about the final product, or don't care if you're
getting payed or not .
As soon the sun reappear in the sky all stamped
concrete contractors get busy very fast.
Working in the lower mainland over the last couple
decades we have gotten used to deal with the rain,
and a certain percent of risk is acceptable.
When the weather forecast is calling for a chance of
rain, concrete contractors bring your tarp, or poly
with you.
